the intelligence community is the eyes and ears of government.
they determine what it “sees” and what it “knows.”
but what if it has an agenda other than honesty?
what if it seeks instead to rule?
the threats are not even veiled.
watch “chuckles” schumer here. this is not a subtle statement, especially from a senate majority leader to a sitting president.
and watch his body language. it looks like he’s positively dying to make good on this threat. pavlov’s dogs did not salivate like that.
it’s enough to make you wonder precisely who he really works for.

After flying to Washington DC to meet in person, it was conveyed that the high-level NSA employee, who is a 'secret fan' of his show, knew that Carlson was "trying to get a Putin interview and go to Russia," adding "they have your emails and your texts, and they're going to leak them to the media to discredit you as a Putin lover."
Carlson then called a friend who is a US Senator, who told him that the US intelligence community accused him of being a Russian agent.
"Michael McFaul, who I would say is the leader of the neocons in the House... I got into an argument with him once last year on the phone. He told somebody that I was a Russian agent or something, and I was outraged," Tucker said, referring to the former US Ambassador to Russia under President Obama.
these are not the actions of intelligence agencies protecting national interest.
these are the actions of a secret police subverting them in service of dictatorial power..
it’s always the same.

you penetrate media to get in the middle of what everyone is allowed to see
and you encourage the people to distrust one another and rat each other out.
you set them up for conspiracy pratfalls as patsies for power grabs.
this works extra well if you can create highly divided, divisive, and politicized societies using the classic “let’s you and them fight” divide and conquer stratagems.

it will always be sold as “safety” from trumped up ideas of “domestic terrorism/extremism” whose definition will just keep broadening until it encompasses any and all political dissent.
and in the late stages, it always goes the same way.
at a certain point, our own police and intelligence communities become what fundamentally amount to foreign actors. they are neither elected nor accountable, but they deceive, dominate, and determine those who are. this permanent state will ensnare and embroil those hostile to it in endless fights for their political lives against absurd claims, disinformation, wild accusation, inversion of fact, and non-cooperation at every turn. they will make you fight with your eyes closed, pull the wool over the eyes of others, and relentlessly undermine you at every turn.
they will put you on trial for made up crimes.
they will undertake “investigation” so overwrought that the process becomes the punishment.
they will use and shape media and message.
it’s really a helluva thing and it’s hard to see it as amounting to anything less than a shadow government and a coup by stealth.
this leads to some deeply worrying questions:
is the presidency an impossible job for an “outsider?”
it seems like perhaps it is. and perhaps congressional leadership is much the same. the FBI and CIA are experts in character assassination, kompromat, and blackmail. they do it as a matter of course to collect or impugn sources and agents. and anyone who thinks they are not operating on politicians as well really ought to read the history of j edgar hoover. the FBI’s seminal director was perhaps the most prolific blackmailer/holder of extortion dirt in US history. (he was also arguably subverted himself by mafia interests that had dirt on him) he was a sharp critic of constitutional limits to persecuting and prosecuting people for their politics. he colored WAY outside the lines and this has been built into the FBI DNA from day one.
i struggle to imagine that the CIA, who literally recruits from religious cults because they like the psych profile of “true believer joiners” who will relinquish their personal identity to the agency is any better or that the bringing together of many of these tentacles into the DHS has done anything to make it less able to wag or even flat out put down the dog of the elected state.
they can shut off or blur vision at any time.
how is any leader supposed to function without accurate eyes and ears?
but how is any leader supposed to function when so much of what they are shown is propaganda for agency purpose?
and how can you achieve any sort of agenda when your whole tenure is spent fighting false accusation coming from “the highest of sources in the intel community?”
is any media truly independent anymore?
it seems that twitter employed only slightly fewer FBI agents than the FBI itself and some were getting “classified” briefings that other twitter employees could not.
there were so many that they actually had an internal onboarding group for “fellow bu’s"

and they have been suppressing content, jokes, and sentiment while spreading serious dis, mis, and malinformation.
this is all leaking out on twitter. it’s coming out on facebook/meta. i promise you, google will be worst of all.
and just how many agencies have been pulled in and to what extent are they deliberately manipulating american elections?
because an awful lot of this looks like the FBI/IC taking proactive steps to protect a criminal enterprise.
in a sworn statement in 2020, twitter’s head of security, yoel roth admitted to having had “regular meetings” since 2018 with the office of the director of national intelligence, the department of homeland security, and the FBI on “election security.” they front ran the hunter biden laptop leak and ran games on how to suppress such information. they did it by name and with malice aforethought.
and it is clearly ongoing.
indeed it is difficult not to become interested in all these matters about which purported law enforcement has such ostentatiously little interest...
at a certain point, it amounts to starting at the floorboards beneath which the body is buried.
there has been nearly zero documented foreign interference in US elections. it’s being used as a bugbear to allow for domestic interference.
“We have seen a sustained (If uncoordinated) effort by the IC [intelligence community] to push us to share more info & change our API policies. They are probing & pushing everywhere they can (including by whispering to congressional staff).”
They also agree to create a “virtual war room” for “all the [Internet] industry plus FBI and ODNI” [Office of the Director of National Intelligence].
this is not election security, it’s the covering up of a crime (well, several crimes) by preconditioning twitter to mistake it for a russian attack.
baker, the former FBI general counsel pushes it home calling it fake and/or hacked despite knowing full well that it was not.
this is not the act of a just government or constabulary. this is mafia behavior. and it seems endemic in media and in big tech.
and this is going to set up a series of VERY difficult choices.
it is all well and good to say this:
clearly, the FBI has wielded undue, unconstitutional, and unchecked power since the day it was founded. some might even argue that this is WHY is was founded.
the CIA, NSA, DHS, ONS and who knows how many other alphabet soup agencies all seem caught up and complicit.
so the real question becomes "so how do you plan to fix it?"
because it's now time for plans, not platitudes.
to my mind, there really is no way to repair or restrain these cultures. they must be removed, likely entire agencies eliminated down to the last provocateur and paperclip.
but this is a very hard choice that will, at least in the short run, amount to basically ripping out your own eyes. this will be made to sound horrifyingly debilitating and frightening, but i honestly have to ask “is it?”
just what does a just state of limited government focused upon the protection of the rights of its citizens need with so many spies and spooks and special agents? it seems to be mostly about making malicious mischief and manipulating and oppressing peaceful people.
we need all this so the terrorists do not attack us?
really?
i have some very significant doubts there.
i also suspect that simply adopting a “stay at home and mind our own business, stop interfering and flexing and instead seek to trade and invest” model of US foreign policy would be a FAR more effective way to pursue such goals. such a model does not require all the cloak and dagger.
i suspect eliminating these agencies might well make us safer because, in the end, we really do not know what agendas they are pushing or where they come from and when a map becomes bad enough, it poses FAR greater dangers than having no map at all.
and honestly, it’s probably the only path by which and sort of decent or honest person who refused to be cowed, ring-led, subverted, and manipulated could survive the presidency or a congressional leadership post.
and so perhaps if we’d ever like to have one again, it’s time for agency scale defenestration in self defense.
consider the possibility that many self-described “good guys” are bad actors and many of the cops are really robbers.
these are the people who got us to invade iraq over illusory WMD’s and that armed the taliban. twice.
from sandinista contras to civil rights suppression and bays of pigs and possible presidential pick offs, the track records of these agencies are simply awful and perhaps learning to see again in their absence, even if disruptive for a time, is going to be far better than inhabiting the hallucinations they have been spinning to control us, our “leaders,” and preventing the american people from knowing their own mind and realizing their own aims.
at what point does the phrase “defend the constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic” need to be applied to the sheepdogs gone rabid that purport to stand in our defense but rather prowl in predation over us?
at what point have we basically been conquered by a hostile power in all but name?
know what a dictator fears by what they seek to prevent you from saying aloud and what they do to those who manage it.
